Rome 44BC. War. Empire. Power. Crush your rivals in an epic struggle of legions, fleets and shifting alliances.
Augustus: The Rise of the Roman Empire is a videogame of grand strategy set in the turbulent final days of the Roman Republic. This was my final project towards my Diploma of Interactive Design at Natcoll School of Design Technology. It was made using Flash CS5 and Actionscribpt. Augustus really was an epic undertaking. They say Rome wasn’t built in a day but Augustus was built in only six weeks!
Game features:
Massive scrolling 3D map of the Roman Empire circa 44BC.
Raise fleets and legions and send them into battle with your enemies.
Five computer-controlled opponents.
Seek alliances with your rivals and then break them at your will.
Classic turn-based gameplay.
Use your fleets to ferry troops across the Mediterranean.
Conquer provinces and rise in rank from Propraetor to Augustus!
